Handcrafted woodwork made in Belleville, IL using local domestic hardwoods milled in the Metro St. Louis area & exotic hardwoods imported from all around the world. 

We often see the wood from beginning to end starting with trunk procurement then milling, curing, artisan workmanship, and final touches.

Every step is full of respect and passion for the trees and creative process. It is for this reason that we will never have two of the same board. Even when made from the same slabs, each piece is unique in color and character.

As always with natural materials, there may be minor "blemishes" which create it's uniqueness. Every mark is part of the tree's history, cataloging it's growth and trauma to bring you beauty unmatched by human replication. 

With time and exposure to changes in moisture, wood can become dry, warp, split & splinter. We recommend following our care instructions to the best of your ability to reduce and prevent these occurrences. Lack of care or improper care/storage can significantly increase the chances of these occurrences and does not reflect on the workmanship. 

These are not your average cutting board, they require care and attention
(frequency of care is dependent on frequency & nature of use). Treat them well and they will be conversation pieces at your hosted events for generations to come.
